I need ideas for my engineering report
l need ideas for my report l have a design engineering report
and the topic is: ''An attractive system to handle trash on
campus'' l need to define the problem, then make some
solutions.. Well the problem is...some ppl do not care and
litter..something like that. *So l thought of a trash can with
sections for plastic aluminum paper..etc. It will encourage people to use
it and the benefit is future recycling. l need more ideas, please help :) Thanks Dan, nice idea. Is that in Wisconsin? Any idea of the actual place please ? :) Hey BeachBum. Thanks for answering l was thinking about that too. not a single machine, it is a system of moving the trash from campus to the dump or something like that. Help :S

''encourage people to use it''? If they don't care, they don't care.
Anyway, in engineering it is important to identify the real problem, & it
sounds like you've identified a completely different problem. The problem
is devise ''An attractive system to handle trash on campus clearly you're
being asked to devise a system, not necessarily one machine, to handle trash that already is on the ground, not something that will change people is attitudes about dumping it in the first place. I'd like to know , what is going to make it attractive? Does that mean pretty? Or attractive to a potential buyer of the system? Or attractive in the sense that a 5.0 GHz processor is 'attractive' to a computer freak? An attractive system to me would be a buncha coeds in tee shirts walking around with pointed sticks, picking up trash. Every few minutes , someone could spray them with a hose, wetting the tee shirts. Wait, that would just encourage more trash. Rats.
How about a system that is like a game, maybe a target you have
to try and hit and get a small reward like tickets or points or even a song
played. I saw this when tubing on the apple river in Wisc. There were
tons of folks drinking it up on the river and they put targets with bins
below for cans, I never saw a can in the river, people were having to much
fun nailing the target, like a game
